Former MP Samvel Farmanyan, describing Nikol Pashinyan as unpredictable and unstable, expresses his concerns about the domestic and foreign political situation. We present excerpts from Irates newspaper From Farmanyan's interview:

- In your opinion, has the quality of power in Armenia changed, has the government promised to get rid of corrupt officials and robbing budget officials? And in general, in your view, what values does the current government hold?

- Nikol Pashinyan's system of values is the complete absence of it. All those who characterize Pashinyan's rule as populist are partly mistaken. Compare, study theory, practice and be convinced. This is quite another. I would characterize Nikol Pashinyan's power as "non-systemic power". It is perhaps the first of its kind in the world. The world knew what "non-systemic opposition" was, but until Pashinyan, he did not know what "non-systemic power" was. It may turn out that we are dealing with political and political "know-how".

Nikol Pashinyan's government can be blamed for a thousand things, of course, but something very important must be recorded and thanked. The country needed a radical "restart" and a modernization course. I would prefer it to be done from above (for which I have worked and fought for many years with my many friends to the best of my ability), with a serious, programmatic, thoughtful, dream team and consistently. It came from the bottom and it was not serious, the enormous public energy was quickly depleted, and today we are dealing with another lost opportunity.

Nikol Pashinyan has already jumped above his head in this regard, independent of his will. I have no other positive expectations from Nikol Pashinyan. Outwardly, the government demonstrates political will to minimize corruption. That is good: But first the will is not enough, effective institutions, good legislation, good governance and change of public behavior are needed, then I really do not know whether the current high-ranking officials are involved in corruption deals or not. As they say, only the cut will show the correct picture. At least many cases that have already received a great public outcry speak of something else.

- A year and a half has passed, but Pashinyan's magic wand doesn't work, why the economy does not grow, investors don't queue for Armenia with money suitcases, there are no sector reforms.

- Nikol Pashinyan has deceived the people. He knows very well that most of our society, like any other society, has no professional understanding of investments, the economic environment, and other circumstances, and has deliberately misled him. People wanted and want to live better today, and Pashinyan was saying, 'Well, I'll come, get rid of corruption, bring back the looted money, arrest the oligarchs, make investments, and you'll live better.' It turned out that only he and his surroundings had begun to live better. He said no, until there is a new parliament, there will be no investments and our compatriots will not return to Armenia. There was a new parliament, there were no investments and our compatriots.

Instead, capital is actively flowing out of Armenia, our compatriots, according to official statistics, continue to emigrate, and unfortunately, the population of Armenia continues to decline. I have always followed this example, and now I repeat.

A leader who loves his people will not deceive him, relying on his ill-informed. It is like a parent who shows his handicapped child to everyone who collects money in the street to fill his stomach. The key problems hampering Armenia's economic development and investment attraction have nowhere to disappear.

They exist and are in place: market size, closed borders, high cost of logistics due to imported and exported goods, lack of a common border with the EEU, dependence on low-cost energy sources, and so on. All of this can only be compensated by ingenuity, skillful management and operational efficiency. What investments did Nikol Pashinyan expect?

Investments require stability, predictability and silence. Nikol Pashinyan is unstable, unpredictable and

Former RA Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan wrote:

“International indexes of economic development have finally started to be published. Two weeks ago, Schwab released the 2018-2019 Competitiveness Index. Armenia has risen from 70th to 69th. I wrote the word in quotation marks because the change was a result of the fact that Georgia, Serbia, and India had fallen significantly. Secondly, the sharp rise of Azerbaijan from 69 to 58 places is stunning. Third, the “growth” rate in Armenia is worrying. In 2015-2016 it improved 3 places (82 out of 79), in 2016-2017 6 places (73 out of 79), in 2017-2018 3 places (73 out of 70) and here's the 2018-2019 stagnation. The Armenian public did not vote for this. WB Announces Doing Business (DB) Yesterday

As a result of the "implemented" economic revolution in Armenia, we have fallen from 41st to 47th. It should be noted that Georgia is the 7th, Kazakhstan is the 25th, Russia is the 28th, Turkey is the 33rd, Azerbaijan is the 34th. Iran is only 127th in the list. But what is totally unacceptable? During yesterday's cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister suddenly asks: How did this happen? Here the CB Chairman Javadyan speaks about the mistake, the Minister of Economy says the index has increased (in terms of points). What do you mean by that? The components of the DB RA are wonderfully presented. (The 5 indices are down to the RA: lack of protection of business minority interests, lack of clear bankruptcy mechanisms, delay in construction permits, tax evasion and loan repayments. There was an obstacle: Granting tax privileges to Kh. There was no one to say: Mr. Prime Minister, as a result of our incomprehensible privileges, we are constantly rolling down. exceptions are set for everyone. Why do such approaches make them so much more oligarchic than the ugly times of SS? "

Seda Safaryan, a former member of the March 1 fact-finding group, had recently said that former police chief Hayk Harutyunyan had received an invitation in connection with the March 1 fact-finding group's work, but had come back from the door. What could it be? Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the NA "My Step" faction, comments. “I appreciated that Hayk Harutyunyan has a problem with communicating in such an environment and answering questions. I understand what the problem is. If H. Harutyunyan were to come in and talk behind closed doors, he would answer a lot of questions because he had been on a committee led by Mr. Nikoyan before. And there he provided answers, which the fact-finding group subsequently took over. It is about the possible headquarters and its possible staff. There was a headquarters and its decisions were made by law enforcement agencies. We have completed them. We have taken such an episode with the sniper's moment, and we deepened there. H. Harutyunyan was not psychologically ready to come and receive answers that were not desirable for him. It was very humanly taken for granted that he, being the person holding that position, had acted, ”the MP said.

He noted that the preliminary investigation body still has to find out whether H. Harutyunyan was killed or committed suicide.
